Right said Fred!

Jim Cassidy, like myself a fully-paid-up middle aged member of the Out Crowd otherwise known as the O.P.C., has reminded me that the latest edition of The Confessional Presbyterian (please don't let the spooky cover picture of Archie A put you off) has an excellent essay by Fred Zaspel on old Princeton and evolution.  The article is particularly good in clarifying the position of B. B. Warfield who is typically regarded as a theistic evolutionist.  Fred does a great job in demonstrating the deep flaws in that view (he also explores the matter in his book on the Big Man).  Particularly relevant is Fred's highlighting of the fact that Warfield saw the creation of Eve as a serious bar to harmonising evolutionary and biblical accounts of origins.
