Conferences in January - the Eccentrics and Bob Letham

Paul Levy
In the coming weeks there are two events I'm involved with. If you're around feel free to come along.

The first is the Eccentrics conference organised by my FIEC loving brother. The conference has moved from Hebron Hall to the greatest city in the world, Swansea. It'll be held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church on 16-17th Jan and the speakers for this year are Richard Bewes, Paul Blackham and Alec Motyer. Stuart Olyott has had to pull out; he says because of ill health but we all know he couldn't handle being with 3 Anglicans for that long. The food is always terrific and the banter is very good value. People often say of the Grand Canyon that you mustn't miss it as it's one of the few things in life that, when you see it, it doesn't disappoint. Exactly the same could be said of Swansea.

In the past 'The Eccentrics' has been an invite only conference and you could only come if you were in church work but this year the embargo has been lifted. If you're in local church work the cost is £40 for two days. However, if you are in para-church work the cost is £340.  If you fancy coming email Mount Pleasant Church office.

Secondly, if you're in West London on Wed 18th 1.15pm - 4.15pm, Bob Letham will be speaking at Duke Street Church, Richmond for ministers and church staff on: 'Union with Christ and the Pastoral ministry'. This event is pretty much free though you can throw some money in the pot on the day.
