Christian Improv
August 31, 2009
After three months on sabbatical, I am back to blogging again. I start with a quote from Time magazine's Joel Stein, who made a guest appearance with the improv troupe at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church. The group's leader explained that their goal was to give people a way to get friends to the church had had turned down an invitation to a worship service. This made sense to Stein until, he writes, "I thought about the kind of person who would say, 'I'm not interested in eternal salvation, but I'd love to spend a Saturday night in a small conference room watching Christian improvisational comedy!"
