Thanks to Phil for his announcement of the Board's wonderful decision to extend Pete Lillback's tenure as President of WTS.
And a personal appeal: can we keep the picture of Francis Beckwith on my Wages of Spin column? How can I put this? He's less `aesthetically challenged' than I am, without the standard crooked British teeth. Catholics not only have a better historical sense than most Protestants; they also seem to have better instincts when it comes to personal grooming. Many readers seem to think that he is me; and I've enjoyed receiving all the proposals of marriage and offers of movie parts that have come my way over the last two weeks (along with an invitation to participate in a discussion forum with Dr Beckwith at this year's American Academy of Religion -- an invitation I am deeply honoured to have received and absolutely delighted to accept).
