Praying the Psalms
September 3, 2007
My pastor recently recommended a method for praying all of the Psalms in one month. On the first day of the month, you read Psalm 1--then add "30" till you run out of Psalms. So on the first day of the month, you'd read Psalms 1, 31, 61, 91, 121. The next day you'd read Psalms 2, 32, 62, 92, 122--and so forth.
This weekend I listened to a very helpful lecture by Gordon Wenham--delivered at a chapel at Southern Seminary last year--on Praying the Psalms.
Professor Wenham also delivered the Jay B. Gay Lectures that year. I've not listened to them yet but I'm sure they are excellent!
