Lady Jane

Simonetta Carr is about to do it again. No, she is not pointing out the uncanny physical resemblance between a classic rock star and a great theologian of the past, as she did with famous Puritan and Westminster divine, Thomas Goodwin:
and legendary drummer with LZ, John Bonham:
Instead, she is releasing a lavishly illustrated and beautifully produced volume on a Christian figure from history. This time it is Lady Jane Grey, the ill-fated pawn in the desperate and highly dubious Protestant plot to divert the English succession from Edward VI's Catholic sister Mary after the young king's death.
As with all of Simonetta's books, the text is easy to read and informative and the illustrations top notch. It is also good to see accessible children's material being made available on women in church history who are more than just wife to a famous male theologian or churchman. Simonetta Carr and Linda Finlayson, present wife of the shadowy figure known simply as 'The Librarian,' are doing sterling work in providing good church history material for younger readers.
