Trueman's vision
December 13, 2007
At risk of sycophancy on these pages over Carl Trueman, we now extend our congratulations to him on his recent appointment as Vice President for Academic Affairs at Westminster Theological Seminary at a recent meeting of the Seminary's Board. In a statement, Dr. Trueman said his vision included instilling in his students, "awe at the holiness and the grace of God as expressed in a high doctrine of God's inerrant word and giving them clear teaching on the magnificent truth of salvation, especially that of justification by grace through faith. Central to this is Westminster's commitment to the theological consensus of the Reformed confessions and catechisms which so faithfully express the Bible's teaching on both of these points."
