Surely a Case of Mistaken Identity.........

Well, brother Del, what a week! First of all we find out that Trueman, that arch opponent of consumerist eclecticism has an iPod, and now we see that he has edited a book on Barth with his old friend and leading UK Barthian systematician, Neil MacDonald!! There is only one possible explanation: there must be two Carl Truemans. If you look carefully at the cover of the Barth book, you will see that this is Carl Trueman, Professor at Westminster, not Carl R Trueman, Academic Dean at Westminster. The former is clearly a decent academic with friends across the theological spectrum; the latter is, as readers of this and other reputable blogs will know, an evil, obscurantist, fundamentalist thug of no scholarly merit whatsoever, more likely to eat a Barthian than work on a cooperative scholarly venture with one. If I were the real Carl-no-middle-initial Trueman, I'd change my name immediately to avoid further confusion and unpleasantness. Might I suggest something like `Ligon Duncan' or `Iain Campbell'???
