Scottish Reformed Conference

Iain D Campbell

On Saturday last I had the privilege of preaching at the Scottish Reformed Conference, an interdenominational preaching event billed as 'Scotland's premier preaching and teaching conference'. The chairman, Rev David Carmichael of Abbeygreen Church of Scotland began proceedings by opening with an apology to anyone who had been offended by the publicity, but defending the conference as a national, international and supernatural gathering which Scotland needs, one in which there were to be no gimmicks, simply the proclamation of God's Word. Dr Joel Beeke took two sessions and I took one, and I was encouraged to see upwards of 200 people, from various Scottish denominations, present. Please remember us in your prayers; the Gospel is well preserved across different church groupings in Scotland who are still building on the deposit of a rich evangelical legacy in the past. It's just that sometimes we're not good at overcoming the divisions of the past; and I appreciate any opportunity which allows us to express our oneness in Christ.
