Romans and James Philip

Paul Levy
I've been doing some work in Romans and between Christopher Ash's 2 volume 'Teaching Romans' and James Philip's 'The Power of God' not much else is needed. James Philip's book is out of print and has been for over 20 years. It seems to me it is criminally negligent of publishers to let books like this go out of print whilst at the same time inflicting upon us some nonsense that no one will read in 2 years.

On Romans 3:21 ,James Philip comments...

'But' is merely  a connecting particle, But the connection it makes is decisive and overwhelming, linking the plight of man with the power of God, the degradation and despair of the sinner with the love and compassion of the Saviour. The helplessness of the lost with the strong Name of the Trinity

It's fantastic, if you find it second hand, sell your Moo or your Morris or dare I say it your 14 volumes of Martyn to buy it

Proc Trust also have James Philip's series of sermons on Romans and other material available here
