Love, the Dr and the Black eyed peas

Paul Levy
It's great to see Del quoting the Black eyed peas, I'm suitably rebuked and what could be more apt in this discussion than the words from the named work where is the Love?

But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And if you hatin you're bound to get irate
Yeah madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
You gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love y'all

What a profound verse for us all at Ref21!
There's always love for those three great Americans Derek Thomas, Carl Trueman and Ligon Duncan but more appropriately for our editor let me ask where was the love for Dr Lloyd Jones on March 1st. 30 years since the great man died and what did Ref 21 do? Nothing, no souvenir issue, no poster of the Dr if you book in the latest PCRT, No 30% off his books if you contact the alliance office.

For some good old fashioned hagiography of the Dr. listen in to this (the kind which Carl loves so much). It's an interview with the Dr's daughter so you can forgive the rose tinted spectacles. Not that anybody will be remembering me 30 years after I've died but if they ask my son it would be quite a testimony if he speaks of me as well as Elizabeth Catherwood speaks of the good Dr.
