In my imagination I like to think of Jesus as .................

The Guardian is a national newspaper and in Friday's edition you have this article 'Was Jesus Gay?' It is an awful piece and you wonder whether they would have had the guts to publish something similar on Mohammed. What strikes you as you read it, is that this is purely the author's subjective opinion, taking the words of Christ completely out of context. In the same fashion, he writes, you could apply the words 'Little Children, come unto me'  and allege that Jesus is a paedophile. This kind of piece is so easy to disarm. It is shoddy and poor journalism; it gives us a great opportunity to speak of the real Jesus. The article tells us far more about the author than it does about the Jesus of the Bible.
