Alistair Begg's Summer Reading

I asked our good friend Alistair Begg what he was reading this summer:

1. "Gospel-Centered Hermeneutics" by Graeme Goldsworthy.

This is Goldsworthy at his comprehensive best. A terrific help in not missing the wood for the trees in exegesis and exposition.

2. "The Courage to Be Protestant" by David Wells It takes courage to give a book such a title in the present environment.

David Wells once again puts his finger on the peculiar challenges facing historic evangelical orthodoxy. He is clear in his indictment of the emergent movement.

3. "Lloyd-Jones: Messenger of Grace" by Iain Murray I read everything by Iain Murray and especially on the doctor. This is a good read and clarifies a number of aspects of Lloyd-Jones legacy.
