Preaching Through Ruth

In the month of November I will be preaching through the book of Ruth. I love this little book nestled between Judges and 1 Samuel. Between those two books, which record such large accounts of prophets, kings, and conquests, Ruth tells the story of a little family struggling to survive. In Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz we learn of loss, loyalty, and hope restored. In the process, this little story paints a big portrait of God; of his mysterious providence and gracious redemption.

The following are some excellent resources on Ruth:

Esther and Ruth by Iain Duguid
Faithful God by Sinclair Ferguson
From Famine to Fullness by Dean Ulrich
Judges and Ruth by Cundall and Morris
The Message of Ruth by David Atkinson
A Sweet & Bitter Providence by John Piper
Judges, Ruth by Daniel Block
