Regular readers ofRef21 will know that, in times of darkness, of deep personal hurt, of needing to be in that quiet place while I rest briefly from my journey, I often draw strength from reflecting on the wisdom
of that greatest of English philosophers, Ray Davies. So, as we head into the weekend on Ref21 after a week where we have been guilty of everything from hate crimes and slander to attempting to bring back the Mullet as an acceptable hairdo for men aged between 20 and 40, I want to point everyone to this piece of classic live music from The Kinks. The whole song is excellent but the last line in particular always brings a lump to my throat....
