Don't settle for silly books

Given the topic of the latest Mortification of Spin I thought I'd pass along a few recommendations.
For some reason many of the junk books that populate the Christian market are targeted to women. So I'm calling for a holy rebellion against bad, sentimental, mystical, and otherwise silly books for women. I'm not saying we need to all begin with the collected works of John Owen. However there are some very helpful volumes to get you started.
Housewife Theologian by Aimee Byrd
A Faith to Live By by Donald MacLeod
Concise Theology by J.I. Packer
The Christian Life by Sinclair Ferguson
And if you're looking for a good devotional book you don't have to settle for squishy nonsense. I have compiled a list of great options HERE.
Also, check out Nancy Guthrie's excellent books as well as Training Hearts, Teaching Minds and Comforting Hearts, Teaching Minds by Starr Meade.
