No cat fights between lesbian clergy handing out Hershes Kisses and outraged conservatives; no overtures banning the production, advertising and promotion of alcoholic beverages; not even a hint of women's ordination. The hottest debate thus far has been whether the General Assembly should elect a committee to oversee the process of bills and overtures through the Assembly. Truth is, the PCA is united on most of the issues troubling the mainstream churches currently in free-fall into worldliness and oblivion. But there's always tomorrow. On the enormous screens on either side of the podium a message appeared mid-afternoon: "Would Ligon Duncan please call by the reception desk to collect his copy of "Affirming Feminism."
