And yet more Anglicans... or ex-Anglicans

Further to the blog entries by Carl and Paul, I note with some fascination the Canterbury trail is leading, well, to Rome. See here. It's curious: denials of doctrine seem to pass without too much difficulty, but a mere hint of women bring out the warrior spirit. Not that I'm saying the issue of complemtarianism/egalitarianism isn't important; it's just that the prioritization of this issue reveals a warped sense of logic. Without a counter-cultural commitment to inerrancy (seen as an "American" issue), defending a complimentarian view of women and ministry is illogical and misogynist. The priority should be the truth of Scripture -- in all its details.
